The zoo Marineland Côte d’Azur operates in accordance with French and European professional best practice. Marineland is approved and certified by the French authorities on the basis of inspections by the French Association of Zoological Parks (AFdPZ), the European Association for Aquatic Mammals (EAAM), the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) and American Humane. Marineland respects the European directive of March 2004 concerning the facilities and the rules of operation for permanent zoological establishments. Marineland rigorously follows the regulations in force in terms of safety and hygiene, and the size of its pools and tanks is generally higher than international standards require.
